Layered Navigation - AJAX custom filters

Enterprise Merchants - Request FREE Trial!

Layered Navigation optimizes store navigation and allows customers to find the desired items quickly and easily.

Navigation filters appear automatically in the upper left column on Catalog and Search results pages and are changed according to specified product attributes or search parameters. Thus we have one set of filters for handbags catalog and the other for men’s belts.

A store administrator has the full control over the filters settings and their look. For example, you can add thumbnails for a category tree or fold long list of options. Numeric values can be specified in a slider or in a ‘From –To’ field.

AJAX-Based Features

Quick AJAX filtering
The AJAX-based navigation and sorting allows your customers to see the selected products faster than in the standard Magento navigation without multiple page reloading, thus optimizing customer experience. On clicking the ‘Back’ button, all the previously selected filter options stay saved, and visitors can see the products that match those parameters.

AJAX toolbar
The extension supports AJAX for all the elements of the catalog toolbar: paging, sorting, show per page, view change (grid/list). The catalog content changes seamlessly without page reload.

Layered Navigation UI Management

Edit Filter

Sort attributes’ position
Store owners can define position of each filter in Shop By column. With Layered Navigation, you can put the most important attributes on top and define overall filters sequence.

Thumbnails for each filter option
You can upload attractive thumbnails for the corresponding filter options and make layered navigation process more intuitive and easy.

Change option labels and filter titles
The module gives you full control over filters and options titles. Moreover, each filter has a description field. Just insert relevant content in this field to show your customers tips appearing when they hover the mouse over a filter.

Multiple user interface elements for filter options
There are several options to display filters – Check box, Radio box, Range Slider for price and other numeric values, and ‘From – To’ number field.

Functional Enhancement Features

Price sliders and numeric filters
The implemented Range Slider lets your customers specify their own custom ranges for price, weight, size, height and other numerical attributes.

HTML5-based URL change
Your customers can filter products specifying the desired attributes set and bookmark the generated page URL for further usage. This link will show the list of found products saving their time on selecting the parameters once again.

Ability to select multiple values for the same attribute
Customers can choose any combination of attributes they see on their screens for filtering, including multiple values for one attribute. Thus, they only need to imagine the result they want and do not need to think how to achieve it.

SEO parameters for filters
The module allows store administrator to specify individual SEO word for each filter. So your customers will see clear and nice-looking URL on all pages on which the filter value is selected.
