Logistic Features Estimator is developed by Guru Extensions. It is completely free and anyone can download it and can change the code of extension as per the requirement.
Please download version 1.0.2 from our releases as we have updated the extension with New Layout and jQuery Configurations....
If you want a customer to varify his/her PIN code to check availability of Shipping, Cash on Delivery and Estimated numbers of days of Delivery in his/her area, Logistic Features Estimator is the best solution for you.
You can manage PIN codes from admin and also you can mass import PINs to the database directly.
Here is the guideline to install the extension.
How to install?
Download the extension and paste the files to proper places of root of Magento
Now you can see the extension in admin and in front as per the screen shots.
Please copy and paste the cod.php file to root.
How to configure?
Go to Admin > Postal Codes > Manage Post Codes.
Click on "Add new post code" button and add the post code you want with appropriate data
Go to website (Front store)
Here you can see the block of "Varify your PIN Code" in Right Column.
Check the PIN code you have entered in admin by filling it and pressing submit button.
Go to System > Configuration from admin.
You will see "Guru Extensions" in left column. Select jQuery Configurations from that
Select "Yes" from drop down list if you have not added jQuery in your store. Otherwise keep it "No".
How to mass import all PIN codes?
Go to Upload Pin codes from Admin > Postal Codes
You can see the "Upload Pincodes" box here
Upload your CSV file with data from there and click "Upload CSV" button to get it uploaded
Now you can see that CSV file in "Import Pincodes" box in same page in the Drop down menu of "Import CSV" with a hash of date.
Select your CSV file and click on "Import CSV" button from right corner.
It will mass import your PIN codes.
How to change the position of block in Front store?
You can see the code of that block in /design/frontend/default/default/layout/code.xml
Change the reference as per requirement from there.

Please note that CSV file should match the same number of rows and same format of data given in the demo.csv file
