Braintree

With the Braintree Payment Module you can easily connect your Braintree Gateway account with your Magento e-commerce store to accept Credit Card payments. In addition to processing one-time transactions for your customers you can take advantage of the Braintree vault and securely store your customers credit card information for future use. Customers will also have the ability to add and edit the cards they have stored. Compatible with Community and Enterprise editions.

Braintree Payment Method Configuration

1. Navigate to System > Configuration > Payment Methods
2. Select Braintree
3. Change "Enabled" to "Yes"
4. Choose a title for the Payment Method, often just "Credit Card"
5. Select the Braintree environment for your store. You'll want to select "Sandbox" if you're testing your integration, and switch to "Production" when you're ready to start processing.
6. Fill in your Merchant Public ID, Public Key, Private Key and Client Side Encryption Key from the Braintree Control Panel
7. Click "Save Config" to activate the Braintree Payment Method

Vault

Customers to your store have the option to save their card for future use at the time of checkout and use saved cards to complete their order. As part of the Braintree module, a registered user to your store can edit and update their saved Credit Cards. To disable saving Credit Cards to Braintree's vault, change "Use Vault" to "No".

Please note that our extension will only store card information using Braintree's Vault. The extension will not work with Magento's Stored Credit Card method.

Capturing at the time of Sale

By default funds aren't captured until an order is "Shipped". To capture funds when a transaction is created, change "Payment action" to "Authorize and Capture".

Known limitations

Not compatible with Magento Recurring Billing. It has been reported that there are issues when using OneStepCheckout with our extension. We suggest you contact their support for more information.
