Extension Features: Privacy
- German law requires that tracking be made known to all users with the possibility to opt-out of tracking directly on-site
- This extension therefore displays a text note at the top or bottom of each Magento frontend page, informing the user that Piwik is being used with a link to a page with an opt-out form. The user can alternatively hide the message by clicking the X button.
- The message text as well as the opt-out page can be configured from the Magento backend.
- The opt-out form can be placed on any cms page using a widget
- The opt-out form uses the Piwik default form.
- If your Piwik instance is using the Piwik Plugin CustomOptOut, then the widget will obey its styling settings for your store.
