We, at Biztech, provide an opportunity to add yet another feature to the online merchants’ Magento Store! You can add Australia Post Shipping feature to your store! Developed to offer enhanced functionality to the online merchants, this extension is equipped with various features, to add value to the e-stores and offer enhanced buying experience to the customers.
Integrating this tool, a new shipping tool– “Biztech Australia Post” appears under the ‘Shipping Method’ section of the admin panel! Now the admin (merchant) needs to fill data i.e., API key and other information required to integrate this shipping process.
Once this extension is installed, the merchant needs to manually bind the three major attributes (properties) length, width, and height used in this extension with the relevant length, width and height that is available in the store to identify the product.
In addition, the admin has to enter the relevant warehouse postcode to get the shipping rates for various destination location where the parcels has to be delivered.
This extension supports both domestic and international, parcels and letters packages.
Admin Setting
Admin need to set relevant warehouse postcodes for getting various destination rates and need to select attribute for length, height and width and other details to configure the extension.
Shipping Methods (Normal Package)
Displays the shipping methods for delivery of normal posts.
Shipping Methods (Letter Package)
It displays the shipping methods for delivery of letter packages.
Package Types
Admin can select the package type - letter or normal parcel.
Global Configuration
Admin can configure product dimensions and weight unit (kg/gm) used in store directly from the global configuration if it’s not specified at item level if the value of the attributes are same. And if the values are different the admin need to add the value of the three necessary attributes manually.
- Automatic Rate Updates of Australia Post
Shipping rates for various locations will update automatically, in compliance with the Australia Post Guidelines, and will be visible to the customers.
- Calculates Rate of Domestic and International Parcels
It calculates the rates for domestic parcel of Australia as well as international parcels that are to be shipped from this country to overseas.
Satchel Services
Admin can enable/disable and display/hide this service from back end. Any customer, sending box packing, can use this service. It will automatically show the rates if the dimensions and weight of the box matches with the predefined weight and dimensions fed in satchel system.
eParcel Matrix Rates Shipping Method
Using this service admin can display customized rates using CSV file, having the predefined rates by admin. The rates will be based on weight and destination of the parcels and will be displayed in the cart and checkout page. Admin can add handling fees, signature cost and insurance cost separately from backend. It will accept only the rates uploaded through the CSV file and will not integrate with the Australia post eParcel rates, available by default. Rates will be calculated based on this formula: Rate = (dead weight or cubic weight * Cost Per Kg) +parcel cost +signature cost + insurance cost.

- Product Units of measurement to use in our extension are as Weight in K.G and Length, Height and Width in C.M.
- Until cart weight do not exceed weight limit (for domestic 22 KG and for International 20 kg )the rates are fetched as single package.
