Genius Virtuemart Ajax Search - Revamped!
Unlike all other Virtuemart search modules this module uses a highly optimized combination of search queries that make each search result optimal according to the search words.
If you type in only a part of a word the module will find all products and categories that contain words in the title, SKU or description that contains a part of that input string. And the search mechanisms have been even more optimized compared to the older version of our Ajax Search module.
Here is an example:
Search string: "can pix" will find products or categories named these examples; "Canon X33 Pixma", "Pixar Extreme Canoneer", "Cheesy Cans of Pixelate" etc..
Here is another example where it finds results that contain the search words anywhere!:
Search string: "can pix" will find products or categories named these examples; "Bitcan transpixar", "Canon Ultrapix", "Cheesy Canpix" etc..
And all results are sorted by relevance.
Furthermore the search results are now nicely sorted in three blocks; "Categories", "Manufacturers" and "Products".
In the Products search results all products are shown with images, SKU, Name, Price and Buy Now product link.
As with all other Joomla modules you can assign the module to only be visible to admins or registered users depending on what you want, and you can easily add your own CSS-styling etc.
