Was designed to fit (as much as possible) on any customized Magento OnePage checkout
References existing layout handles from OnePage checkout and Shopping Cart page. This is very helpful if your Magento installation has custom Product Types or custom Cart Totals installed with custom renderers since they will be used automatically

Can replace OnePage checkout and can be used as a default checkout instead of OnePage checkout
Can be added as alternate method (or as a main checkout method) while keeping OnePage checkout active
Tries to keep OnePage checkout style when possible
Uses OnePage checkout templates and layouts so can be fitted on custom OnePage checkout styling without problems (in case if general checkout HTML structure like container blocks and block IDs was not changed)
Adds ability to edit cart items quantity using order review block during checkout process
Adds ability to remove cart items using order review block during checkout process
Can display cart item images on order review block
Allows skipping certain checkout steps. Steps that can be skipped are:
- Billing (Payment) Address
- Shipping Address
- Payment Method
- Shipping Method
Allows specifying default values for following fields:
- Payment Method
- Shipping Method
- Default Country
- Default Region/State
Smooth frontend animation which can be configured or disabled from system configuration
JavaScript behavior can be changed by modifying frontend timeouts
