Sometimes, there is a necessity to limit the number of characters in the address line, because your shipping a payment company can't treat address information with a big amout of symbols. Magento Address Line Lenght Limit extesnion allows you to manage customer address line during the checkout.
Checkout - Customer Address Line Lenght Limit
If you have some problems with customer's addresses lines and you need to limit the maximum number of symbols, which can be entered to the customer address line during the checkout progress. Magento Address Line Lenght Limit extension is able to make the restrictions and limit the maximum lenght for customer street address line on the checkout (billing and shipping stages) as weel as for customer account (editing address line or create a new address for shipping). Also you can turn on the feature, which will restrict the further entering for the customer address line when he\she is reached the limit of characters. In this situation, the customer won't be able to enter any more characters to the address line.
Any Place to Limit
The extension will limit the lenght for customer street address lines both for billing and shipping pages on the checkout stages. It means that you shoudn't worry about customers who use multiple addresses for shipping. Address Line Lenght Limit extension will use the same rule as for billing and for shipping steps.
Disallow Further Entering
When the customer is exhausted the allowed number of characters you can disable the futher entering for the address line. It means that the customer won't be able to enter more characters to this line.
United Rule For All Lines
You can easily create the rule, which will be applied for all customer address lines. For exmaple, if you specify the maximum lenght of street address line 20, the customer will be abple to enter only 20 characters to all lines in total. He can enter all 20 characters to the first line and don't have the opportunity to enter more symbols to other lines.
Address Line Lenght Limit and Customer Account
The rule also will be aplied to the customer account. When the customer will add or edit address lines, the extension will inform you about the restrictions to the street address lines.
Inform Customers About the Limit
You are free to enter any message to infrorm cutomers about the limit for street address lenght. The customer will see the message when he exceed the limit of maximum characters. The customer won't be able to complete the current checkout step, until he enter the street address according to the restriction rule.
