e-conomic integration

e-conomic integration

Main features

The module includes these main features:
  • Synchronize products with e-conomic
  • Synchronize customers with e-conomic
  • Synchronize orders and invoices with e-conomic
  • Synchronize product data from e-conomic to your Magento webshop

All features work in real-time, meaning there is no lag time. When an order is entered into your web shop, it will be synchronized with e-conomic straight away. The module includes very detailed setup options and can be customized to suit practically every need.

The module makes no changes to Magento's core source code and employs event/observer methods. This helps ensure that the module is maximally compatible with other modules.

2-way synchronization

The 2-way synchronization is limited to only some of the product data.

Currently, the following fields from e-conomic products are supported by 2-way synchronization:

  • Name
  • Bar code
  • Cost price
  • Description (first 500 characters)
  • Quantity in stock
  • Active
  • Sales price
  • Recommended price
  • Quantity available

The module uses dynamic field setup, which means that e-conomic product fields can be linked to Magento product properties. The field setup has countless possibilities, allowing you to e.g. set up the module so that when the quantity in stock is changed in e-conomic, the new quantity is automatically synchronized directly with Magento. This way, you can book purchase invoices etc. in e-conomic and have the module automatically synchronize the inventory with Magento. This means that you no longer need to keep track of your inventory in Magento manually. The dynamic field setup allows you to control exactly which data are synchronized from e-conomic.

Synchronizing products to e-conomic

The module can handle both manual and automatic product transfer from Magento to e-conomic. These are some of the options available for product synchronization:

  • Add a prefix to all products that are created in Magento and synchronized to e-conomic. This is particularly useful if you have already created products in your e-conomic agreement.
  • Use any product property in Magento, e.g. the product number or a property defined by you, to determine the product ID in e-conomic. The only requirements are that the product property used is mandatory and unique.
  • Use Magento's default product number as the product number in e-conomic.
  • Set up when product data is synchronized between Magento and e-conomic – when the product is updated/created, when it's part of an order, or manually.
  • Use a default e-conomic unit when creating products.
  • Use a Magento product property to determine the unit of the product, e.g. by creating a product property called "Unit" whose value ("Each", "Liter", etc.) determines the unit name transferred to e-conomic.
  • Create the unit of the product in e-conomic, if it doesn't exist already.
  • Dynamic field setup from e-conomic to Magento.
  • Dynamic field setup from Magento to e-conomic.

Synchronizing customers from Magento to e-conomic

The module allows you to specify which customer groups in e-conomic should be linked to which customer groups in Magento. This way, different Magento customers can belong to different customer groups in e-conomic, allowing for e.g. differentiated invoice layout in e-conomic. Additionally, these options are available for synchronizing customers from Magento to e-conomic:

  • Link Magento customer groups with e-conomic customer groups.
  • Assign all orders to a customer specified by you, so that no new customers are created in e-conomic.
  • Assign all orders to a specific customer, create new customers only if they don't exist already, or always create new customers (even if they exist already).
  • Use any existing customers in e-conomic by comparing their email address with email addresses in Magento.

Synchronizing orders from Magento to e-conomic

The main feature of the module is transferring orders and invoices from Magento to e-conomic. The transfer is based on the order status in Magento, allowing you to set up the module to synchronize orders to e-conomic when the order status is e.g. "Pending" in Magento. In addition, you can set up the module to synchronize the order as an invoice in e-conomic when the Magento order status is "Completed".

The module includes these options for synchronizing orders/invoices:

  • Book invoices automatically.
  • When an order is updated in Magento, the corresponding order is also updated in e-conomic.
  • When an order is deleted in Magento, the order is also deleted in e-conomic (provided that the order hasn't been booked manually in e-conomic, since e-conomic doesn't allow booked orders to be deleted).
  • Automatically add comments to the Magento order when the order has been synchronized, upgraded to an open invoice, booked, or deleted.
  • Specify whether to save the Magento order number in e-conomic.
  • The dynamic field setup determines how to handle freight. You can link several different freight types to different e-conomic products.
  • Handles total order discount.
  • Differentiate e-conomic payment terms based on the payment method in Magento. This is particularly useful in relation to bookkeeping.
  • Handles both base currency and other currencies, allowing you to synchronize orders in the currency used to create them in Magento.
  • Handles e-conomic payment terms so your customer balance is 0 and you only need to book on your payment provider's account.
  • Supports payment charges.
  • Create different e-conomic freight products for each delivery method in Magento.

Other setup options

In addition to the options mentioned above, the module includes these features:

  • Compatible with the new token-based login implemented by e-conomic. This means that you don't have to save important e-conomic login information in your Magento web shop.
  • Ability to verify transferred orders, meaning that if a synchronization fails, you will receive an email immediately.
  • Supports Klarna payments.
  • Supports the EAN payment extensions from More-Mage.com.
  • Supports both English and Danish language.
