"URL Key Opt" extension aims to validate (to resist/avoid the duplications) Catalog product’s URL key. Same URL Key creates problems while magento’s re-indexing performed and successive re-indexing on duplicate URL-Keys leads to the JUNK in database table of ‘URL Rewrite Management’ & obviously down the roll; it may affect the site performance & float the non-SEO friendly (having numeric append) URL keys at magento store fronts. Hence, this extension also helps to keep SEO friendly the products' URL Keys by just avoiding the numeric append in conjunction with the re-indexing.
- It allows Admin whether he wants this extension to auto rename URL-Key as same as product's name OR NOT in case If duplicates found.
- It allows Admin whether he wants this extension to auto rename URL-Key for 'Not Visible Individually' products with append of corresponding Product-ID OR NOT in case If duplicates found.
- It provides the scope to define some Frequent URL key appends [comma (,) separated values] in case If more than one product exists having same name. And if not defined then Default append value will be: "-from-{corresponding store name}"
- It executes same functional in case of mass products import as well by just enabling from settings. [it follows the same settings saved in configurations settings].
- Admin can Enable/Disable this functionality providence.
- Very easy going to install and manage.
- Well managed code overrides in accordance with magento’s conventions.
