Auction Extension - Bidding Management System
Auction Extension for Magento allows you to sell products on auction similar to eBay. It creates a landing page for products which are available on auction. Customers can visit product detail page to view bid details such as who is the highest bidder, time left etc. and they can place their bids manually or configure it to be posted automatically. They can monitor bidding process from their accounts. An email is sent to both store owner and bidder on new bid, highest bid, completion of bidding process etc.
This extension supports multiple winners depending on the available stock. This Bidding extension is AJAX based where users can place bids without page reloads. The Auction landing page includes following
Auction Landing Page:
- Show all products currently available on Auction
- Time left to close the bidding process is displayed under each product image
- Current bid of each product
- Current bidder name
Product Page:
The product page shows following details
- Total number of bids
- Current bid amount
- Current bidder name
- Starting Price – Minimum price of product
- Starting time
- Closing time
- Customizable Error Message
- Auto & Manual Bid options
To control product auction from backend, each product has the following configuration options
Auction Product Page - BackEnd
Admin can view and manage complete auction information on the backend. Each product has following Settings:
- Title / name of the product
- Starting Price i.e. minimum price
- Enable / Disable Multiple Winners
- Define starting and ending time for bidding
- Can edit the status of bids posted by customers
Auto & Manual Bidding
This extension supports both auto and manual bidding. Through auto bid the customer can choose the maximum bid price and the system will automatically repost the higher bid whenever another user posts a bid until it reaches to the maximum bid price.
Watches and Winners
This section allows admin to watch the bidding status and winners. It manages the transactions and lists all auction orders.

- Include or exclude the Tax Amount
- Email Notifications to the winner, watcher, bidder etc
- Customers can change bid multiple times
- Customizable bid winner message
Customers Account:
Customers can track the bidding process from their account using 3 tabs “My Bid”, “My Auto Bids” and Bid watchers located on the left navigation
