Copyear - Dynamic Copyright Date

Often you will see a website that has an outdated copyright date which is pretty annoying. There are also sites that only show the current year for their copyright date which is even more annoying because you won’t know how old the site is.

This extensions allows you to configure the copyright block of the footer of Magento site, so that it changes automatically every year without doing it manually every year!

There is no need to edit any template file, what you need to do is to edit Magento settings here:

System -> Configuration -> Design -> Footer -> Copyright

Put a placeholder {{year}} into the copyright text and it will be changed to current year automatically.

Example:

Copyright 2010 - {{year}} Your Company. All rights reserver.
