In case you ever get tired of opening a terminal session just to check your log files aren't bulging with errors or warnings, this extension should alleviate that tedium.

Overview

Navigate to System > Log Viewer to access the extension. Every file in the /var/log directory will be listed in a neat grid for a quick look that gives you the file size and number of lines in each file. You can also open individual logs for viewing and empty one or more right from your backend.

As of now there's no support for editing the log files (aside from truncating them) as I didn't feel it would be a very useful feature. In case you want this, leave a comment and I'll see about adding it.

Friendly Reminder

Remember to logout and login after installation to update the ACL cache, or you'll get a 404 error when navigating to the extension URL.
