Our new PPC Call Tracker Extension enables businesses to identify how many calls are being generated from Google, Yahoo or Bing search engine advertising campaigns.
How Does it Work?
Running multiple search engine advertising campaigns can be a huge source of traffic to your website, generating enquiries and sales. However, it can be expensive and difficult to track which campaigns are generating telephone calls resulting in offline sales. Not everybody wants to complete a sale online; some prefer to move offline to make a telephone call and ‘speak to a real person’ – but how do you know where this person discovered your business?
The PPC Call Tracker software we have developed automatically changes the customer-facing numbers specific to each online campaign, which are routed back to your usual telephone number.
Once set up you can then run reports from the telecoms company who provide(s) the number(s), showing how many calls the business has received from contact number ‘x’, ‘y’, and/or ‘z’. As each number corresponds to a different, specified campaign, you are then able to work out the cost per sale or enquiry for each of your search engine advertising campaigns. For example if campaign x cost £780, and you received 15 calls on the corresponding virtual number x, each sale or enquiry cost you £52. You can then compare the cost of other campaigns based on the number of calls received, and analyze which is working most effectively for your business.
This extension can be used to analyze data from any campaigns which are run in Google Ad Words, Bing Ads and Yahoo Search Marketing. Additional telephone numbers can be bought from your telephone provider and are usually up and running within minutes.
